In the December issue of Elle, Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz talks about the nude photos of himself that leaked online last year.

From the Q&A:

ELLE: Like millions of others, I've seen these photos. But if a picture of your penis is going to get leaked online, you could do much worse than yours.

PW: Oh, thank you. I appreciate that. But at the time, I wanted to find a cave and hang out there for the rest of my life and be a cave painter and eat dirt.

ELLE: I don't want you to think I lingered on the photo, but I did notice that you looked groomed down there.

PW: The manscaping? Honestly, I felt slightly overgrown in those pictures. If I had taken them for public consumption, I would have done it differently - groomed a little closer, better lighting.

ELLE: So-called guyliner: What are the most common mistakes?

PW: Wearing it to the point where people only recognize you as 'that guy who wear eyeliner.' I don't really wear it anymore because of that.

He is currently awaiting the birth of his first child with wife Ashlee Simpson.

Tina Wells: Another Disney Starlet Shows Up (and Out)

For today's entertainers, everyone's out to create a buzz by any means necessary. For adult personalities, creating media headlines by acting outlandishly is irresponsible and sets a horrible example. Even though Paris and LiLo's antics are reprehensible, these two work independently and make their own choices as to how they are perceived by the public (but it is important to note that Lohan's market value to studios has dropped dramatically since her history of embarrassing antics have been made public). For child stars, whose images are closely guarded by the sponsor brands they represent, acting out to draw attention to themselves presents a much bigger problem: they disparage themselves along with their parent brand and put their well-crafted image on the chopping block.

Time and time again, fresh young starlets, always branded with a wholesome image, are being caught baring all in a pic or video that circulates the web at light speed. The paparazzi scramble to get new shots. Headlines fill up with the latest shocking scandal. And, parents roll their eyes in disgust as yet another child "role model" disproves their clean cut image and disappoints young followers. I've watched this occur repeatedly, thinking it will eventually die down, but the issue always seems to escalate and pop up again and again. Last week, yet another round of naughty photos floated out into the web cloud, this time of former 3LW member and current Disney Cheetah Girl Adrienne Bailon.

What is it that these girls think they will benefit from this exposure? Maybe they're attempting to sabotage their current business deals and create a more "mature" image; or maybe they are caving to overwhelming pressure to keep their name in the spotlight at any cost. In any event, neither strategy works. A year ago, Vanessa Hudgens, another Disney dynamo, had her own scandal, but Disney chose to continue the relationship. And while Adrienne could just be seeking attention after seeing her star fade, this will likely just see her story sink lower in entertainment lore. It's a lose-lose for both her and Disney, but what is Disney going to do about it?

Instead of allowing the behavior to continue, often in violation of a behavioral clause in their contracts, Disney has to take a stand. They have a responsibility to speak out against such lewd behavior by the leaders of their brand. Because they directly target children and market almost exclusively to them, Disney has to start enforcing their rules and setting parameters. Instead, by turning the other cheek, they passively condone the behavior and continue to try to profit off the "buzz". They are failing in their responsibility to keep their brand wholesome and choose brand icons who can cleanly portray a positive image for millions of child fans. There are, however, a small handful of child stars who have the wherewithal to stay clean. It looks like Raven got the memo.... at least for now.
Several butt naked photos of a young, hot pop star have hit the web, just weeks after they were allegedly stolen -- and now, surprise, naughty Cheetah Girl Adrienne Bailon says she's sharpening her claws for a nasty lawsuit.

Her spokesman, Jonathan Jaxson, sent us this statement:

"The photos that have surfaced of Adrienne Bailon were stolen from her laptop over a week ago at an airport in NY and sent to several media outlets. These photos were taken in private. Adrienne will be pursuing legal action against the person or person's sending these private photos out.

Scarlett Johansson went to the "A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Cure Parkinson's," the Michael J Fox Foundation benefit gala on Wednesday, Nov. 5 in New York. Her new husband Ryan Reynolds ran the New York City Marathon over the weekend to raise money for the foundation (which he blogged about on Huffington Post).

Scarlett showed off her wedding ring and, in a photo further down, her forearm tattoo:

Actor Steve Guttenberg - he of the "Police Acadmy" movies and "Dancing with the Stars" - decided to run around a park with no pants on for a video camera.

Shooting like a hidden camera, the videographer says at the beginning that Guttenberg runs through Central Park every day with no pants. Then, in a flash of skin, comes Steve in a gray tank top, iPod, sneakers, hat and nothing else.

Fortunately the video blurs out the naughty bits as Steve stretches for the camera and runs back and forth.

At the end Steve comes over for an interview. "I just run, I run every day... I got to get going. I actually have a meeting."
A 19-year-old hacker who published provocative photos of teen queen Miley Cyrus earlier this year was raided by the FBI Monday morning in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

The hacker, Josh Holly, repeatedly bragged online about breaking into the Disney star's e-mail account and stealing her photos. He also gave interviews to bloggers and others and boasted that authorities would never find him because he moved so often. [Last month, Holly contacted Threat Level seeking to have an article written about him here.]

But this morning the FBI did find him and, after talking with him for more than an hour about his exploits, served him with a search warrant and a list of items to be seized (which was posted at the hacking site digitalgangster.com after Holly showed it to a friend).

When agents finally left his apartment after conducting an extensive search, they had three computers and Holly's phone, among other things. Hours after the raid, Holly phoned Threat Level from his sister's phone to report what had occurred. He hasn't been arrested or charged with a crime yet.
"Wearing a bikini on a magazine cover is my 41st birthday present to myself," country superstar and mother-of-three Faith Hill tells December's Shape, out Nov. 10, about returning to her three-times-a-week Pilates routine recently. When she first took up the exercise regimen, she explains, "I could bend in ways I haven't been able to since I was a teenager." She then adds, "My husband (Tim McGraw) loves it!

"I was always very athletic, playing basketball and softball and running track. But in my 20s and 30s, I'd go through phases with exercise, working out for four weeks before a big tour or video shoot and not doing much afterward. Then I had three kids and turned 40, so I decided to make a lifestyle change."
Salma Hayek narrowly avoided a wardrobe malfunction on German television over the weekend. The actress and new mom to Valentina, born last October, donned a traditional dirndl with a deep plunge that struggled to cover her. Hayek was on the show "Wetten Dass" to promote her UNICEF campaign to fight tetanus.

Also on the show was designer Karl Lagerfeld.
Sarah Palin is a character out of Lewis Carroll. No one can translate that smile. She's the Cheshire Cat.

She says nothing and she grins triumphantly. Her smile lingers when the words have gone.

Nothing she says makes sense but the eyelashes never stop batting. Catch phrases and buzz words bounce in the air above her head. She adores the word "also." Also, she adores herself. She is so doggone cute she turns herself on.

She is the woman politician advertisers have been waiting for -- all style and no substance. Full of confidence and full of beans, the walk of feminism without the talk. Nobody can object because there's nothing to object to. Hillary Clinton and Geraldine Ferraro had ideas you could disagree with. But Sarah Palin is perky and inscrutable at once, you betcha. She talks. We listen but we have no idea what's been said.

She is the female candidate of GOP dreams. She talks, she smiles, she flirts, she never opposes. She makes mistakes but nobody seems to care. We watch her lips go up, go down, go sideways. We watch her eyes glisten behind rimless glasses. The beauty pageant promoters removed her soul so it wouldn't get in the way. How can we dismiss her or debate her? She's a bubble. She's fizz.

She is the perfection of beauty pageant womanhood. All image, no ideas. Camera-ready for hair and lipstick commercials. Her patriotism is of the Fourth of July variety. Let's eat a heck of a lot of hot dogs, pun intended.

She's pure as a sex-phone operator. You can fantasize but not touch. The bill comes later.

She reminds me of Paris Hilton -- who once tried to trademark the expression "That's hot." Will Palin trademark "You betcha"? Or "doggone"? Or "team of mavericks"? I wouldn't put it past her. Whatever happens with the "election" the endorsements will come flooding in. Maybelline will want her. And Kellogg's. And Wal-Mart. Some publisher must already have an offer on the table.

Sarah Palin has already won the Olympics of reality TV. She'll do just fine. As for the rest of us -- I'm not so sure.

The two bikini-clad ladygals are currently in Mexico, soaking up some sunshine on the beach. After wrapping up said sunbathing, Samantha plopped on a pair of shorts and some high top sneakers. Sandals who? Sam seems to prefer sand trap... footwear.

I am tempted to feel ridiculous for writing about a deceased movie star. Never done it before. Never even really thought about it, except maybe when Jack Lemmon died. Mine is the perspective of a fan, and admittedly it is a limited one. I didn't know Paul Newman, who <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/28/movies/28newman.html?_r=1&hp&oref=slogin"target="_blank">died of cancer Friday at the age of 83. Never met him once.

Furthermore, there is nothing more tired and trite than the over-celebration of the famous in America---something Newman himself was always quick to admit.

And this, I think, gets to the heart of his extraordinary appeal.

You think of Paul Newman, you think of humility.

You think of Paul Newman, you think of wit and self-deprecation.

And then you really think of Paul Newman, and you think of things like dignity and selflessness and compassion and good citizenship. And you do so without the slightest traces of irony or cynicism.

That's what I think about, anyway.

Onscreen, of course, Newman was simply better than everyone. Better actor. Better looking. Better lines. Better everything. No one in the history of cinema ever gave off an easier or more natural air of utterly likable cool.

But the beauty of the man was that he seemed to be as good or better in his everyday life.

All too often, our heroes turn out to be tyrants in real life---or worse. Newman, however, was that rare exception. Better than advertised. Better than the myth. Truly humble. Heroically generous. Committed to his wife and family. Refused to take himself too seriously. And a great inspiration to so many.

He reached the height of his profession and will probably be remembered as one of the four or five most important American actors of the 20th century. As an artist, he received every accolade known to man. And yet at the time of his passing, his achievements in the arts have a way of seeming secondary. In the end, it is Newman's tremendous success as a humanitarian that will likely be remembered as his most lasting achievement. And this, I think, is why his loss is so deeply felt.

There is, of course, the Newman's Own food business, a philanthropic enterprise founded on a lark with the writer A.E. Hotchner in 1982. At the time of Paul Newman's death, the company has donated more than $200 million to a variety of worthy causes.

Then there are the Hole in the Wall Gang Camps, residential summer camps and treatment centers for seriously ill children. Newman and Hotchner brought this into existence in 1988. All services are provided free of charge.

And finally, there is the Scott Newman Center, a drug abuse education facility created in honor of Newman's late son, Scott, who died tragically of a drug overdose in 1978.

I could go on, of course. But by now the story of Newman's good life is widely known, and in the coming days the outpouring of appreciation will likely be immense. I look forward to hearing from those who knew him best.

Paul Newman was a unique figure in American cultural life---revered, it seems, by just about everyone. And for good reason.

His popularity never waned; it only seemed to grow as time went on.

He was a gifted individual who felt a strong sense of responsibility for those less fortunate.

He was decent, and he led by example.

Finally---and in light of the fact that I'm writing this piece for The Huffington Post---it seems appropriate to mention that Paul Newman was proudly committed to progressive causes throughout his lifetime, politically engaged until the end.

"Being on President Nixon's enemies list was the highest single honor I've ever received," he said during an interview in 2006. "Who knows who's listening to me now and what government list I'm on?"

Whatever list it is, Mr. Newman, I want to be on it too.

With great admiration,
BL

Sarah Palin's 1984 beauty pageant swimsuit competition video has hit the web. An Alaskan has uploaded what he claims to be 100% real footage of Sarah Palin in a red tank suit in the 1984 Miss Alaska contest. She walks out, does a 360, walks further, turns around again, and then walks off.

You can hear the announcer (over a jazzy trumpet) introduce her, read her bio and compliment her leadership, saying:

"Sarah says she wants to prepare for a career in television broadcasting by majoring in telecommunications and political science. It is no wonder that she has also been recognized by 'Who's Who?' since she has displayed her leadership in all areas, from academics to student politics to athletics... Ladies and gentlemen, contestant no. 8, Sarah Heath."

The poster promises more, writing:

"The 100% legit footage of the 1984 Miss Alaska Pageant featuring Sarah Palin. If you think this clip is good, wait until you see her play her flute in the talent competition... ;)"

Beverly Hills 90210 is back and it's thinner than ever. No, I'm not referring to the plot lines or character development. I'm talking about the girls. It's like central casting for stick insects. I expect the females playing high school fashionistas need to be thin, but when it gets to the point where the females actually look sickly, it's time to take notice and speak out.

Has the standard for what is considered sexy changed that much in the last 10 years? In the original 90210 the slenderness wasn't as extreme. If the newest version is any indication, Hollywood has gone beyond promoting a body ideal that is "too prefect" and ventured into "impossibly thin." Stick legs and arms that have protruding bones are not attractive. But, as we all know, fashions dictate behavior among the young and this thread can lead to nothing but an irrational obsession with weight loss.

The show's producers have tried every tired trick to update the show and have missed the obvious. Stick thin is over. Look at Rihanna, Sofia Bush, America Ferrera -all beautiful and considered to have fantastic bodies, by both men and women. Even the female cast of Gossip Girl isn't stick thin. The girls on Beverly Hills 90210 are just stupidly skinny.

Are the audiences loving this new look? Young girls all over the message boards are saying no, these actresses are way too thin!

This isn't just a TV problem. Take Keira Knightly for example. Everyone seems to be saying she needs to gain weight. And don't tell me the actresses are that thin naturally. That excuse is so over. We all know you're not. It isn't natural to be 5'8" and weigh 95 pounds. It's like they're in competition with each other to be the thinnest. Enough already.

What's even worse is that so many of today's youth have grown up never seeing what healthy really looks like, or feeling it. They think getting the desired look is all about food deprivation. This is coupled with the fact that many more kides are opting tosit around and surf the net after school instead of shooting hoops. To burn calories they look todiet pills, stimulants, and even laxatives.

When I was a teen, my friends and I always seemed to be on the move. I played sports year round, depending on the season. Either it was basketball or field hockey or playing softball. Besides engaging in sports event itself, we had practice sessions, some of which lasted for up to two hours! I didn't mind because it was good for me and it was also fun. In doing so, I didn't pay much attention to what I ate and didn't think much about how much I weighed. I didn't have to. All that exercise kept me in shape. I was tight and toned! And don't think the boys didn't notice either!

This tactic of presenting popular teens as stick figures isn't fashionable, it's fatally flawed. It's fine to strive for a better body but it's insanity to seek what can only be perceived as obsession with becoming thinner and thinner. Maybe the show should introduce a girl with a more womanly body. I'll bet she gets most of the attention, and the trend may start swinging in the other direction. Until then, the new Beverly Hills 90210 can use more substance. And it should start with the female cast.

Remember when Tiffani Amber Thiessen joined the original 90210 show as "Valerie"? Her curves were the most coveted of all the girls. Skeletor is out!
Leave it to Jessica Alba -- she looks great in a bikini already. The new mom of 4-month-old Honor flew down to Cabo for a little vacation over the weekend and took the opportunity to show off her bikini body. She splashed around with her husband Cash as well as their good friend Baron Davis playing in the sand and enjoying the Mexico sun. Jessica's been looking gorgeous and happy these days since baby Honor came into the picture, and apparently she's looking spectacular too.
LOS ANGELES - Megan Fox has nothing to hide.

The candid 22-year-old "Transformers" star, who's currently engaged to actor Brian Austin Green, opened up to GQ about her love life, telling the magazine she was once in love with a female stripper. Fox, who appears on the October cover in a black bikini, said she was in the relationship when she was 18 and first living in Los Angeles alone.

"Well, that year my boyfriend broke up with me, and I decided _ oh man, sorry, mommy! _ that I was in love with this girl that worked at the Body Shop," said Fox. "I decided that I was going to get her to love me back, and I went out of my way to create a relationship with this girl, a stripper named Nikita."
<img src="http://images.huffingtonpost.com/gen/38897/original.jpg"style="float: right; margin: 0 10px">
Fox said Nikita would do "these beautiful slow dances to Aerosmith ballads." The actress also said she would bring the Russian stripper gifts and try to inspire her to quit her line of work.

Fox's publicist, Dominique Appel, confirmed the contents of the GQ report Monday.

Despite the brief relationship with a woman, Fox said she does not identify herself as gay.

"Look, I'm not a lesbian," said Fox. "I just think that all humans are born with the ability to be attracted to both sexes. I mean, I could see myself in a relationship with a girl _ Olivia Wilde is so sexy she makes me want to strangle a mountain ox with my bare hands. She's mesmerizing. And lately I've been obsessed with Jenna Jameson, but ... oh boy."
<img src="http://images.huffingtonpost.com/gen/38898/original.jpg"style="float: right; margin: 0 10px">
Fox also defended Miley Cyrus and Vanessa Hudgens regarding their racy photo scandals and said that she doesn't like Disney because they take "these little girls, and they put them through entertainment school and teach them to sing and dance, and make them wear belly shirts, but they won't allow them to be their own people. It makes me sick."
Although we should be judging the presidential candidates on their merits, many of my patients and colleagues have been buzzing about the candidates' skin this week. After Hillary's speech at the Democratic Convention, people couldn't stop talking about how well rested and good she looked. Her skin appeared tauter and smoother with a nice elevated cheek bone. She seems to be sporting the new, new face made popular by New York Magazine which is characterized by a serene forehead and lifted heart shape cheek lacking the convexities and troughs which harbor aging shadows. I don't treat the Senator but my of my patients achieve this plumpness through injections of various fillers such as hylauronic acids and poly-L-lactic acid.

Unfortunately, her husband's Bill looked a little worse for wear as he seemed to be suffering from a rosacea flare. A colleague of mine remarked that it looks as though his rosacea is progressing toward rhynothyma, a disfiguring overgrowth of skin on the nose. Fortunately treatment options do exist for the former president and other rosacea suffers. We routinely treat the redness of rosacea with pulsed dye and KTP lasers and recountour the rhynothymatous nose with electrosurgery.

John McCain has long been the focus of my dermatological colleagues because he has had 4 melanomas. His most serious one was diagnosed on his left temple in 2002 was 2 centimeters in diameter and 0.22 centimeters deep according to the New York Times When this lesion was removed with a wide margin of normal skin, lymph nodes in the temple and neck where evaluated for metastatic spread of melanoma cells. Fortunately, for the Senator, there was no evidence that the disease had already spread. He still needs to be closely monitored for recurrence of this melanoma as well as development of other skin cancers.

As far as the democratic nominee, Barack Obama's skin reminds me that even darker skin types can suffer from the sun's damaging rays. On both of his cheeks, fine freckles are evident and likely resulted from sun exposure in his youth. Although the melanin and darker skin types provides a natural sunscreen, people with darker skin still need to apply sunscreen to prevent sun damage and skin cancers.
The wellspring, and sole star, of the current vogue for 'burlesque' style shows Dita von Teese has finally completed her transition from fringe entertainer to high street icon by securing the coveted position of the 'face' (and body) of the Wonderbra brand. The model will launch her own signature range under the Wonderbra umbrella at the end of next month.

....The new range fronted by Von Teese features some novel design features, like man-friendly quick-release clasps making the bras easier to remove than traditional models.

The Wonderbra brand dates back to before the Second World War but it was really the early 1990s campaign spearheaded by model Eva Herzigová that ensured it its current prominence as the best known name in lingerie.
Last week a mix of water and sanitation experts gathered for World Water Week in Stockholm, Sweden to mull over the world's biggest public health crisis. The problem is that not enough people paid attention.

Each year over 2 million deaths could be prevented with improvements related to access to safe drinking-water, sanitation and hygiene. To put that in perspective, we have it within our grasp to prevent the equivalent deaths of 10 Asian tsunamis or 1,000 Hurricane Katrinas. Yet a major effort--like those that have been launched to address HIV/AIDS and malaria--to tackle the global drinking water and sanitation crisis remains elusive. The scope of this disconnect is baffling; water- and sanitation-related diseases (like relatively-easy-to-prevent diarrhea) kill more children each year than HIV/AIDS, malaria, and measles combined.

One reason why there hasn't been a Herculean effort to address this global scourge is that we in the water and sanitation sector are not doing enough to influence how this issue is understood by others. We have not been proactive or coordinated enough to frame the issue to the media and the wider development community in an action-oriented "this-can-be-done" tone.

All too often, water and sanitation has been framed as a "privatization" issue instead of an "access" issue. This is problematic. The "privatization" frame is confusing. It too often results in a blame game that takes attention away from the end result of the sector's work: getting water and sanitation to those who need it. Many of the most innovative, scalable solutions to the water and sanitation crisis are locally initiated approaches, such as the production of latrine slabs or ceramic water filters. They are put in place by a combination of actors: beneficiaries, communities, governments, local entrepreneurs, corporations and NGOs. The work of all of them is necessary to solve this problem.

There is a great need for the water and sanitation sector to reframe the issue so that those outside the sector understand what is at stake and become part of the solution. This effort will take leadership, resources, and working together (for more than one week in Stockholm). I propose "universal access" as the theme that guides this new direction. Developed countries have had universal access to water and sanitation for nearly 100 years. It makes no sense why the rest of the world can't get universal access as well.

Another explanation why the water and sanitation crisis remains in the shadows is that "sanitation" specifically has been ignored. Let's face it-- diseases associated with sanitation, like diarrhea, do not have "disease appeal" for governments and donors. The result is that very few people in the general public even know that 2.5 billion people do not have access to improved sanitation--nearly half of whom actually have to resort to open defecation. Those who do learn are outraged and take action.

More resources must be devoted to recruiting sanitation champions. HIV/AIDS has a built-in constituency because many people have a direct connection with someone who has suffered from or died of HIV/AIDS. Malaria has David Beckham trumpeting its cause. Sanitation needs a brave soul to be its spokesperson.

It has become a joke in the sector that no one in their right mind would become a "sanitation spokesperson." But this is no laughing matter. The lack of sanitation is one of the main reasons there isn't greater progress towards enabling the world's poor to meet their basic needs; malnutrition, poor education and disease burden are all exacerbated by inadequate sanitation. And the plight of the poor becomes more related to the survival of all as the world gets smaller each day.

In fact, some high-profile individuals have spoken out about the urgency of access to sanitation and they should be applauded. Matt Damon, Ashley Judd, Keira Knightley are a few. Would they be willing to form a Sanitation Celebrity Council to move this issue to its tipping point?

So the appeal I'd make to the 2,500 experts who went to Stockholm is to start a "universal access" campaign and to make sanitation--the most important medical advance since 1840--a major part of it. It's time to elevate water and sanitation to the status that it enjoyed during the UN's first Water Decade, which ended in 1990. This is, after all, the second Water Decade (2005-2015) in case we forgot. It's time to get this done.
