Winners: The Davids - Axelrod and Plouffe: they spearheaded a near flawless campaign. Katie Couric: her multi-part interview with Sarah Palin was the turning point in how the country saw Palin -- and by extension John McCain. And she did it in a way that left no room for accusations of being unfair or playing "Gotcha!" Michelle Obama: smarts, grace, style, charm, and a serious "good mommy" vibe -- she's got the whole package. Losers: Joe Lieberman: failed to deliver Democrats, independents, or Jews. And on the way to losing his committee chairmanships. Liddy Dole: her "Godless" ad will be taught in What Not To Do poli sci classes for a century. Joe the Plumber: the clock just hit 15 minutes, and the wakeup call will not be pleasant.

Inspired by such high-profile cyclists as Obama, Fey and Einstein, I've set to work amassing a comprehensive archive of 100 people we know, love--perhaps even despise--atop the bike.

McCain demonstrated that he and his campaign could have a terrific sense of humor when the chip were down. He appeared incredibly relaxed, wonderfully self-effacing and winning.

We need you to be Sarah Palin every Saturday night. From the Friday before the skit on SNL aired to the following Tuesday, Palin's approval rating dropped ten points. Coincidence? I think not.

Feminists have often been accused of not having a sense of humor, but how could they survive without one?

It's essential to put things into perspective. Yes, the world is in a disastrous state, but if you find no humor in your lives or funny situations, then you are in a tragic state of mental imbalance.

According to CNN's Dana Bash who was on Palin's campaign plane at the time SNL aired their 34th season premiere, Palin was watching it behind a curtain, but her remark was overheard.

Bottom line Tina Fey, lay off the Daily Show, until you offer anything remotely as trenchant and just plain funny.

I've wanted to salute Tina Fey for two weeks -- since the Emmy Awards when I heard her acceptance speech -- I've been waiting for her to cool off.

What does it say about America that Tina Fey is more credible as Sarah Palin than Sarah Palin is as herself?

Dear Gawker, I want to thank you for having the testosterone-drenched you-know-whats to say what nobody else, besides Christopher Hitchens and lots of men, will say: women comics suck!

The founder of the Alaska Independent Party (AIP) was Joe Vogler. Joe is quoted by the AIP as stating "I'm an Alaskan, not an American. I've got no use for America or her damned institutions". In an 1991 interview conducted by the Rasmussen library of the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, Vogler stated "The fires of hell are frozen glaciers compared to my hatred for the American government. And I won't be buried under their damn flag. I'll be buried in Dawson (i.e., Canada). And when Alaska is independent, they can bring my bones home."
Palin attended AIP meetings with her husband. She attended their convention as governor and told the audience to "keep up the good work". Her husband was a registered member of the AIP. So the Palin family thinks that the AIP party ,which advocates session from the United States, ( similar to the Confederacy which tried to seceed from the United States causing the civil war) is doing a good job. This is the party whose founder "hates the United States". One would think that advocating breaking up the United States, which is the central goal of the AIP, is an act of treason. Thus Palin and her husband appear to have advocated and/or condoned breaking up the United states. Presumably they might feel that any state should have the right to form an independent country. -not just Alaska.
Doesn't such acts disqualify Ms Palin from consideration for any public office?
People make this big stink about Palin being Vice President & that she should be asked more difficult questions, but, who is Obama's running mate again? People know nothing about his running mate, because he is never asked ANY questions. People are sexiest for the fact that no one has questioned Biden's experience. How does someone honestly think Obama has anymore experience than Palin, is it because she is a WOMAN? If anyone wants to discuss who has the most experience, than they should stop looking at color and start looking at the real candidate for President-McCain!
I am sorry but you opened the door. 'People are sexiest for the fact that no one has questioned Biden's experience', I laughed so hard when I read this. I will continue to not question Biden's experience in hopes that I will soon be viewed as the sexiest. Also your statement makes about as much sense as the things Palin says and that is not a compliment. You are completely entitled to your opinion though and I respect the fact that you have one.
You are joking arent you? Or are you as uninformed as Sara Palin?
